Plasma cutting

Plasma cutting is performed with the use of a highly concentrated electric arc. The arc glowing between the tip of the plasma and the material melts the material and ejects it from the cutting slit. Thyristor rectifiers and inverters, the so-called plasma generators, are used as a power source.

Virtually all metals, ranging from aluminium to stainless steel, can be cut with the use of the plasma arc. In ISCO, plasma cutting is performed with the use of Computerized Numerical Control machinery. Our device is equipped with a 3D head. Therefore, we offer cutting service combined with the preparation of the welding phase.

Our device is equipped with an additional turntable module for cutting pipes with the use of plasma or gas technology.

The aggregate in the configuration with the above module performs pipe processing:

  • cutting according to the customer-requested size at right angles
  • one-sided cutting at the angle
  • two-sided cutting at the angle
  • chamfering of pipe ends at the angle of 8° – 40°
  • axial connection of pipes at various angles (pipe – pipe stub)
  • non-axial connection of pipes at various angles
  • cutting holes, rectangular holes, bean-shaped holes, etc.
